This week’s episode of The Walking Dead was a bit of a crazy one, lots of stuff went down, and lots of things were put into motion. The beginning of the episode was much like the rest of this B season with the mundane being at the center, romance being a “new” plot to explore. But as the last episode ended with Carol leaving that became a focus as was Daryl’s departure to kill Dwight. I can understand Carol’s leaving. She is dealing with stuff and we can trust that she will survive, that’s why she is having her problems. Daryl, on the other hand, is making very stupid and decisions.
Whenever the group gets separated it is usually a bad omen, they are strongest when they are together. After every big fight they always seem to get separated. I think we are seeing so much complacency amongst the group that it looks like stupidity. Why is half of the main group out of Alexandria? Carol made her choice and we see her dealing with having to kill people. I knew she had a gun up her sleeve. You know everything she is growing through yet it is so satisfying to see badass Carol come out.
Maggie cuts her hair in this episode as a way to get rid of her weaknesses. We see her growing closer to Enid, which is really heartwarming. It looked like Maggie was having a miscarriage at the end of the episode. It would be horrible to see that happen, especially with Glenn in a compromised position outside of Alexandria.
Rick and Morgan walking and looking for Carol had its enlightening moments as they dealt with morality, but is it just me who is done with Morgan? He is just way too boring. The show dragged during their time talking. The Rick and Michonne scene was such filler, but I loved it so much.
Glenn, Michonne, Rosita, and Daryl got captured as was expected when you do something stupid. Daryl isn’t dead. It looked like Dwight shot his shoulder. I know so many people will riot if Daryl dies. I love this show too much to do that. I can’t wait to see Negan in the next episode. This season finale is going to be crazy and praise the lord another 90 minute finale.
The Walking Dead airs Sunday’s at 9p.m. EST on AMC
