Summer Reading Recommendations | The Nerds Recommend

The Nerds are here to share books that would make great summer reads.

Summer Reads: Books that are great to bring to the beach, poolside, and out to the park. Will hook you straight from the beginning.

15749186To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han: Funny, awkward, and really sweet. Follow Lara Jean as she has to face all of her crushes after her box of love letters was somehow mailed out to them, hilarity obviously ensues.

15283043The Distance Between Us by Kasie West: This has the classic trope of rich guy falls for the poor girl, but Kasie West is such an amazing writer and makes it unique and fresh.

16070903Fallen Too Far by Abbi Glines: Set in a beach town during the summer, and has a fantastic romance. Is part of a series.

12294652My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick: Another book set during the summer with a cute, fantastic romance and awesome characters.

18293427The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry by Gabrielle Zevin: This book contains characters that you can’t help but love, whether they be primary or secondary. The story itself is beautiful and slowly wraps itself around your heart.

18667779Everything Leads to You by Nina LaCour: It combines LGBT, mystery, and film in a way that leaves you completely satisfied.

16081202Open Road Summer by Emery Lord: If you haven’t read this stunning debut by Emery Lord, you MUST do so immediately. It’s a fantastic introduction to Emery’s books.

16069030The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski:  Everyone deserves a page turning read during the summer–make sure that this enchanting, highly addictive start to the series is on yours.

  1. Love this post! I was looking for some cute contemporaries, so I will definitely add those I haven’t read on that list to my TBR! I also love Morgan Matson’s books! They are the perfect summer books, in my opinion.

    • I have yet to read a Morgan Matson book. I’m pretty sure I own one so I need to remedy that this summer!

    • Yay! We hope to do more of these recommendations posts so get ready to add tons more books to your TBR 🙂
